The Archive at Archivissima 2020

Archivio Storico Ricordi takes part in the digital edition of the festival dedicated to archives

Taking the spirit of the hashtag #LaCulturaNonSiFerma (Ed “culture does not stop”) into pandemic times, the third edition of Archivissima is confirmed completely digitally from 5 to 8 June. The only Italian festival dedicated to the world of archives, which has been held in Turin since 2018, this year offers an online thematic program on different female figures in archival documents. The Ricordi Historical Archive is present with a podcast by Valentina De Poli for the Atlante sonoro series, available from June 5 at the link https://www.archivissima.it/eventi/337-puntata-3-musica, which retraces the special meeting in 1957 between Nanni Ricordi and the voice of Maria Callas for her interpretation of the work Medea by Luigi Cherubini, the first album produced by Dischi Ricordi. On Saturday 6 June at 18.00, you can also follow a live streaming conversation on Instagram between Pierluigi Ledda, director of Archivio Storico Ricordi, and Giulia Vallicelli of Compulsive Archive, an archive that documents the third feminist wave and the passage of the punk scene from the nineties to the year 2000.
