La bohème by Puccini in streaming at the Teatro Regio

Scenes and costumes of the work reproduce the original sketches kept by the Archivo.

On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the world premiere at the Teatro Regio in Turin, the famous bohème by Giacomo Puccini is back on stage. The opera can be streamed on the Theatre website from Thursday 4 February 2021 at 20.00. The representation faithfully reproduces the original scenography, documented in the iconographic collection of the Archivio Storico Ricordi, in particular the art nouveau-inspired set design commissioned by Casa Ricordi to Adolf Hohenstein for the inauguration of 1896. A unique show to relive the bohème as the genius of Puccini imagined it, and to share once again the enthusiasm, desires, loves and disappointments of the most famous youth group in the world of opera. Directed by Paolo Gavazzeni and Piero Maranghi, with the orchestra of the Regio conducted by Daniel Oren and the following characters and performers: Maria Teresa Leva – Soprano (Mimì), Iván Ayon-Rivas (Rodolfo), Hasmik Torosyan (Musetta) and Massimo Cavalletti (Marcello).
