Introducing Puccini Online

Wednesday, May 21st, 2:30 PM
Milan, Braidense National Library, Reading Room
Free entry, subject to availability

Archivio Storico Ricordi presents the Puccini Online digital portal, a dynamic and open platform for everyone, created as part of the celebrations for the centenary of Giacomo Puccini’s death. The portal highlights the historical significance and aims to rethink the cultural legacy of one of the greatest Italian opera composers. The website gathers information and documentation related to the maestro’s life and work, acting as an aggregator of primary sources and as an infrastructure that integrates digital documents of various kinds, promoting greater accessibility and dissemination of Puccini’s works and related materials. In addition to introductory speeches from participating institutions (including the National Central Library of Florence), the project coordinators will offer a live first exploration of the portal with practical examples of data entry.
